Standard safety flooring

Technical description of the standard safety flooring

The safety floor coating TIRSOL consists of rubber tiles covered with a smooth and seamless 3mm resin layer. A marking is carried out according to the client’s requirements after validation of our drawing.

The floor of the range must be made of smooth concrete. It must be clean and dry. Planimetry is essential for the placement of the resin because it is self-smoothing: planimetry from 7mm to the rule of 2M.

Composition of the standard safety flooring

The safety floor coating consists of rubber tiles +/-40mm thick placed on the shooting range floor and then covered with a two-component polyurethane layer with a thickness of 3mm. The result has no joints and is smooth.

Similar in appearance to the coating of a gym, it ensures the protection of shooters by avoiding any risk of ricochets.

The properties of the TIRSOL non-return flooring:

  • Anti-vibration
  • Non-slip
  • Imputrescible
  • Flexible
  • Resistant to U.V and aging
  • Absorbing noise
  • Easy maintenance

The technical characteristics of the TIRSOL non-return flooring:

  • Density: 840 kg/M3
  • Hardness: > to 40° shore A
  • Dimensional variation: 0.9%
  • Elongation at break: > at 60%

Advantages of standard safety flooring

Let’s quote some features and advantages of the standard safety flooring:

  1. Easy and inexpensive maintenance: Sweeping and cleaning with a scrubber dryer makes the maintenance of this flooring easy, fast, effective and inexpensive.
  2. Safety: Composed of rubber tiles covered with filler and polyurethane resins, this flexible coating allows shooters to evolve in a secure space.
  3. seamless: No risk of powder accumulation on the floor

We can also offer a marking on  the floor (shooting lanes, distances, security lines) as well as the periodical cleaning thereof

The poured floor covering for the shooting range

The poured floor covering for shooting range is an alternative to the classic floor composed of ballistic tiles.

Description of poured flooring

The poured floor covering is a mat poured on site and composed of black rubber granulates bonded with a polyurethane synthetic resin.

Installation of poured flooring

The installation of this flooring can be done on a hot-mix asphalt floor, a concrete floor (over 28 days old) or an asphalt floor (over 48 hours). These supports must be dry, cohesive and clean. Blowing is often sufficient, otherwise a cleaning with pressurized water may sometimes be necessary.

This coating cannot be installed in rainy weather or on a damp surface. The application temperature must be between 10° and 40° with a relative humidity lower than 80%.

Advantages of poured flooring

Poured floorcoverings offer many important advantages for creating a safe, practical and efficient shooting environment. Here are some of the key benefits of using this type of coating:

  • Anti-vibration
  • Imputrescible
  • Flexible
  • Draining
  • Resists UV and aging
  • Absorbs noise
  • Constant density over the entire surface
