Function and characteristics of the covering mat for granulate bullet traps
We advise to place a rubber covering mat on the bullet trap (whether made of rubber granulates or synthetic granulates), to keep the aggregates in place. These mats, however, do not have a ballistic function as the bullet is slowed down and then stopped by the aggregate. There is therefore no risk of ricochet of bullet fragments. The bullet trap remains thus functional even when the mats are damaged or punctured, provided that maintenance is carried out according to the manufacturer’s prescriptions.
We provide the cover mats in the form of rolls or custom made. They are generally with a thickness of 3mm.
